108 Hekili St #101

The Big City Diner concept was developed by Mr. Lane T. Muraoka, a local boy from Kailua who attended Iolani School. Mr. Muraoka originally began in the restaurant industry as a young man working as a dishwasher for a prominent local restaurant chain and eventually opened the first Big City Diner in 1998. Since then our small, locally owned and operated business has grown from our first restaurant in Kaimuki to several restaurants island wide. The success of our business is due to the hard work and dedication of our now near 400 employees.

MEMORABLE SUNSETS UNDER THE KIAWE TREE
House Without a Key

Immortalized in a 1925 Charlie Chan novel, House Without A Key is Halekulani's popular indoor/outdoor gathering spot for informal breakfast, lunch, cocktails, appetizers and entertainment, and offers a fresh option for evening dining in Waikiki. One of the favored traditions of the original Halekulani — cocktails and Hawaiian music under the century-old Kiawe tree — is faithfully preserved here.

As one of the best restaurants in Waikiki, House Without A Key is known for its signature mai tai, a classic to be enjoyed any time of the day.

Drink in memorable sunsets at our romantic restaurant in Honolulu. Nightly, our distinctive Hawaiian music is paired with the graceful dancing of five former winners of Miss Hawaii, Kanoe Miller, Debbie Nakanelua, Lauren Matsumoto, Skyler Kamaka and Radasha Ho'ohuli.
